    Hey, I'm Craig Riesebosch. I have been a business coach for Dale Carnegie since 2007. My passion is helping people succeed, whatever that means to them.

    I have seen so many goals, from reducing stress, increasing sales, improving leadership skills, increasing company profits, changing the culture of the company, and have been able to create strategies for all of these. I can do this because so much of what we accomplish is based on the conversations we have with others - business or personal - from clients, to staff, to co-workers, to vendors, to in-laws and the list goes on. Yet we have no human relations training in schools today.

    Dale Carnegie was a great fit for me when I owned a Car Dealership, and helped me to increase my gross profit by 100% in one year. So is everyone else, so what makes you different?  Your knowledge helps, but how you apply your knowledge is everything.  That is the difference, and why everyone is looking for the latest and greatest thing. 

I had a mentor of mine tell me the other day – NOTHING WORKS!  Yeah, I had to think about that one too!

However, after some thought, I came to the conclusion that he meant this - ideas don’t work!  It’s us that works, not the idea.  That’s why so many ideas work for some, and not for others.  We can talk about the ideas all we want, however the idea won’t get us anywhere unless we are practicing them often, and applying them properly for us!

I thought I would give you an idea that doesn’t work!  Hehehe – however, the ideas are sound, and may be able to help you work!

Build your Network

According to the largets Networking organization in the world, BNI, we all know 200 people, and those 200 people know 200 people, etc…

This is about building relationships and knowledge of what we do so that your network can be more powerful.

Personnel Challenges

I run into Challenges with Staff often, and have helped many deal with these challenges.  At the end of the day, we cannot as leaders motivate others.  (notice I did not say managers – leadership is a skill, not a title…)

It’s our job to create an atmosphere conducive to motivation.  That in and of itself may make the difference in your organization.  Instead of “Why is John not performing?”, ask yourself: “What is it about my company or me that is not allowing John to perform?”

Remember, people come to us motivated.  The proof is have you ever asked yourself “Why is John not like he used to be when he first started?”

Our job is to not De-Motivate our staff.  What is it about your company that your staff or co-workers find difficult, de-motivating, or just a pain in the butt?

Are you fed up with companies not listening?

Here is a link for those in the NIagara Region fed up with companies not listening to their wants or needs.  I have noticed many companies not doing so, and as a consumer and not just a business owner, it’s disconserting.
